TITLE
Conceptual Engineering, Language Use and the Neutral Implementation Challenge

Abstract:
In this paper, I have two goals: the first is to articulate a version of the implementation challenge for conceptual engineering that is as theoretically neutral as possible. The second is to outline a novel response to this challenge, by reflecting on the notion of control — especially on aspects that pertain to its gradability and relativity to an agent’s goals. The aim is to put into proper perspective, and ultimately question, the threat posed by the implementation challenge.
