Shun Hing Salon presents a film screening and discussion!
Russia is everywhere. International media highlight its role as a
global power, its pivot to Asia, and the Trump-Putin dilemma. How
do we make sense of Russia in the world today? Shun Hing Salon
gets in a conversation with Dr. Oscar Sanchez-Sibony through a
screening of the satirical comedy Death of Stalin (2017, Armando
Iannucci).

Dr. Oscar Sanchez-Sibony is Assistant Professor in Russian History
at the University of Hong Kong. He is the author of Red
Globalization: The Political Economy of the Soviet Cold War from
Stalin to Khrushchev (Cambridge UPress, 2014) and received his
PhD from the University of Chicago, under the supervision of world-
renowned historian Sheila Fitzpatrick.
