The School of Humanities Early Career Convivium presents:
“Publishing Your First Book (Part 2): Workshop”

What does it take to transform your dissertation into a book? Join recently published authors who have worked with major academic presses to jumpstart the process of publishing your first book. This two-part series on “Publishing Your First Book” is part of the School of Humanities Early Career Convivium.
Through hands-on exercises and peer feedback, this workshop will help participants develop a compelling book prospectus and establish a plan for revising the dissertation into a book. The workshop is limited to participants who have completed a dissertation manuscript.

- Dr. Sze Wei Ang, HKU; author of The State of Race: Asian/American Fiction after World War II (SUNY Press 2019)
- Dr. Priscilla Song, HKU; author of Biomedical Odysseys: Fetal Cell Experiments from Cyberspace to China (Princeton University Press 2017)
The workshop is limited to participants who have completed a dissertation manuscript or have drafted a book manuscript. Registered participants should bring a book prospectus draft and/or the table of contents from the dissertation/book manuscript for peer feedback during the workshop.
